Passa passa down in the tuff yard of tivoli was a blast, i was heavily intoxicated with vodka redbull, chatted to and more importantly wined with 'nuff gyal' and really enjoyed myself at jamaicas arguably best street party. earlier in the day i took a look around trenchtown which is apparently tivoli's rival garrison and also more famously bobs marleys old yard, the place is quite poor in places but alot of people had a good vibe and wanted to say hello and take pics of them.. i was looking around for georgie (from the 'no woman no cry' tune) 'who would cook cornmeal porridge' back in the day when bob was a resident at the government yard but he wasn't around that day so instead opted for some ital fish and rice from some rasta shack on 1st street.

I was staying at chelsea hotel which is costing 3000 jamaican dollars a night, i'm not gonna do the exchange rate now as it hurts me everytime i work it out. I've been eating alot of jerk chicken and been drinking and playong pool with sasha and kam the bar maids there.

well the hurricane felt a little overated for me, i had been watching all this hype on the tv since hurricane dean was off the coast of africa, i remember saying i was quite excited to see my first one.. now that it's passed i've realised it's a pretty crap event and i don't really want to be around for another one, i'm sorry that it did mess up alot of peoples lifes but i was fortunate enough to be staying in a strong building and i found it pretty boring. what i didn't really think of was that they cut the power to the whole island, so i was as soon as the light fades you're sat in a room with nothing at all to do but sleep. after it passed is where it gets very dull, the power takes a long time to come back on, for me to find a place with electricity has taken a week, my mobile went dead with no where to charge it, there's no internet places open to while a way the hours and probably worse of all it's really hard to find a cold beer.

Kingston is one cool town with a lot of passion and will have another taste of it before moving onto cuba.
