well i got away from shitty Bequia on a one way 20ec$ admiral bay boat, as soon as i got off navigated past the rip off taxi drivers and headed through the middle of town in search of my gueusthouse, mornings like these i'm really glad and smug i have just got a 35litre backpack as it was a good 30minute slog across town and up a very steep hill.. my guesthouse is such great value at only 55ec$ it's the cheapest place i've had so far, it has a communal balcony with views over the town, hot water (i love it) and cable tv.. the bed is a little bit no-frills with a matress to big for the sheet so during the night it comes off leaving you sticking to the sweaty plastic piss-proof sheet underneath and i small fan that tries its best but fails to cool you down..

The town of Kingstown is very charming, it has many arched walkways to walk through and the vincy girls all look great, neatly and respectfully dressed with good looking genes to match.. i already seen a bit off the island in 2 days by getting around on the 1$EC buses, yesterday seating next to cute lady breast feeding onboard the bus i managed to see two old forts, in the morning i got to fort charlotte and the afternoon i climbed up the crumbling steps of the 76metre high fort Duvernette and sat back thinking about the days when soldiers my age and younger were posted out in the caribbean, sunning themselves waiting for a pirate ship to pop over the horizon so they can unleash some cannon balls onto them, i'd feel much safer being a young soldier on that rock than on the streets of bagdad nowadays..

Today i went up to Wallilabou bay which was the set of the town 'port royal' in the pirates of the caribbean, much of the set is still there but it wasn't worth more than half an hour as it's pretty tiny.. Tommorow or the next day i'm gonna climb 'La soufriere' which is the volcano that holds the highest peak of 1234 metres on the island.. it last erupted the year before i was born in 1979, so fingers crossed it'll stay calm for at least the next few days..
