well i finally left barbados and arrived to a hotter trinidad this afternoon.. it was 33cel. when i arrived and the sun was blazing, when i left barbados it was all moody and cloudy..

that night when i met donna she was well late. we arranged for 10pm and she didn't show till quarter to midnight, i found out that she's just like me back in london.. if i'm meeting a mate for say 8pm, 8pm will be when i start getting ready.. that night i finally broke this ice and we had good jokes so decided to meet after her church on the sunday.. yet again i found myself waiting around for an extra hour for her to get there, so went over to chat to helena in the watering hole till she arrived.. when she did i was treated to a nice roti she 'd got on the way and chatted for a bit on the beach, anyway it was my last day but felt i'd had enough of barbados so stayed in last night and chilled...

when i got to POS (port of spain) airport i was greeted by a trini girl her dispatches the taxis... when i enquired how much to downtown pos she replied "158 tities" .. it made me smile coz when researching trinidad i came across a blog where someone noted that when they prounouce the "TT" currency it sounds like "tities", so i arrived by taxi to my guesthouse where i'm paying 186 tities a night, i've just paid for the one night but i'm sure i'll be here for a little bit longer. This rooms got a tiny ensuite, double bed and air-con and it's the same price as my basic single at rio's..

after checking in i studied the street map and counted 4 blocks east, 3 blocks south to safely arrive at this internet cafe, on the way i wanted to get a roti, i saw rotisserie in the window and i was thinking "ah, that's want they call roti houses over here then" i walk in and realised it was just the average rotisseries thats all around the world with nothing to do with roti, so just got a chicken burger meal..

damn.. i've blatently jinxed myself since writing this.. after all that talk at the start about how nice and sunny it is here, i can now hear some sort of tropical storm outside, pelting the iron roof of the cafe.. i'll just have to but an extra hour on the net then, it's proper cheap at 10TTs (1 pound sterling) an hour where i was paying that every 15 minutes in barbados..
