We woke up around 9am and given the time zone changes we were unable to get back to sleep. Andy, Jen, and Christian were down the hall and asked if we wanted to join them for brunch. Of course we did!! We wanted to go to a recommended breakfast place, but they stopped serving breakfast at 11. We arrived at 11:05. En route, we passed Ad Hoc, the little brother to French Laundry. Jen had exclaimed how she wanted to go there some day. Oh, and she mentioned in passing that it was her birthday. In the same tone of voice that someone would mention that they would like a coffee in the morning.

So after a quick phone call, we were joining the elite at Ad Hoc. They were embarrassed that they could only seat us outside. As if we wanted sit inside!!

The breakfast was the most amazing breakfast experience I've ever had. The melon was infused with stuff, the rim of the glasses were made with muddled juices, even the scrambled eggs were amazing. Of course, the company was what really made the morning. We laughed so hard that my stomach hurt and the patrons at the next table asked to be reseated. What a great start to our day.

After breakfast, we retreated to the pool for some champagne and relaxation. Ahhhh.

The wedding was at Auberge de Soliel and was elegant. The weather continued to cooperate (the day before we had a double rainbow) and was just perfect. Great food, great company, great dancing, and good times were had by all. The evening was topped off with a late night dip in the groomsmen's pool. By 2am were in bed. Can you say "no kids!"?
