We woke up in Paris after an uneventful flight from Newark. Tyler slept from before takeoff to after landing and was pretty disappointed to have missed the flight. Evie watched Mary Poppins on the inflight video system until she passed out on Sue's lap. Sue and I didn't really sleep.

The Paris airport was rough as the kids went crazy and we were in that sleep deprived zone during our 3+ hour layover. But our flight to Goteborg was pleasant (can you say free Heinken!) and my mom met us at the airport.

Strange that an airport visited so rarely can feel so comfortable. It was exactly as I remembered it, small, clean and easy. We walked the 30 yards from the door to the parking lot and were on our way.

It was nice to have a "local driver" (aka, my mom) take us straight to the hotel. We checked in, took a nice stroll along the river and enjoyed the family buffet at the hotel. Surprisingly good and reasonable.

We managed to stay awake until 9 and began the time zone adjustment. Unfortunately, Tyler thought he was taking a nap and woke up (and the rest of us) at 11pm and insisted on playing in the kids playroom for an hour before allowing Sue to read him and Evie books until 2am. After falling back to sleep we all slept until 10am when Mom woke us up for the hotel breakfast.
