This morning we caught a regional train from Vienna to Prague which took near on 4.5 hours. Fortunately for us we had a 6 seater cabin to ourselves for the majority of the trip, so had plenty of room to stretch out. The country side was very interesting and we saw many small villages that looked like things hadn't changed in many years.

Our hotel in Prague is on top of the hill up near the castle and is about a 10 minute walk down to the Charles Bridge and the old town. It is very quiet up here, but is nice to be away from the crowds, and an easy tram ride back up the hill. We walked around the old town during the afternoon and discovered it is easy to get lost, that the Czech language is very difficult to master and Prague would be even more beautiful without all the tourists.

Just before turning for home, the heavens opened so we braved the underground to get us to the tram stop. Must say we are pretty pleased with ourselves, within a few hours of being in yet another country with a different language, we managed to get travel cards, work out the stations and only went the wrong way once!

Tomorrow we plan to do a walking tour and to see another performance by the Music tour group - this will be our last one, so hope they make it a good one!
