I drove Drew to Jiminy Peak and decided to check out the Berkshire Museum.  That turned out to be a great decision and it took up my entire day!  The two floors were split into multiple exhibits featuring science, art, history, and local nature.  Native Americans, Ancient Egypt (complete with fully intact mummy), Ancient China, Dinosaurs and Fossil Digs, Stuffed Moose Head, Innovation Room, Rocks and Minerals, Modern Art Room, Alexander Calder Mobiles and Toys, a Touch tank Aquarium and the Main Exhibit, Armed and Dangerous: Art of the Arsenal.  By the time I got to the Shepard Fairey posters, Drew was ready to pack it up and head back to New York.  On my way back to the peak, I made a brief pit-stop at a Shaker Village, was horribly disappointed, followed the GPS along a misleading path through the Empire State and finally arrived a few minutes late.  On to the homecoming Utica show!

The drive was just fine but by the time we arrived in town, the ONLY room available was at Davis Motel, 3 miles away from the venue

.  For some unimaginable reason, the owner thought the hole was worth $79 a night...until she decided she would charge $89.  Not happening.  We certainly weren't getting anywhere and it was our last hoorah so we drove to the arena and found our friends.  After catching up in the parking lot, we made our way in to the general admission show stood in endless lines for beer and longer lines for the bathrooms, and got right up to the front.  Ashley was SOMEWHERE but I didn't end up finding her until the very end.  Three minutes is better than zero minutes when it comes to seeing my girl!

We met our very generous friends at the Country Motel and crashed with them there, not right away, of course.

The morning came soon and we each took a turn driving back home.  So ends our trip.
