Later explorations saw me visit The White House... that sounds like I went round for tea but, although I wish that was the case, the reality is that I stood on the perimeters freezing my nads off taking pictures with all the other tourists. I happened to be there at the time that the national Christmas tree was being erected which was nice. Later that day, after a walk to the US Capitol Building and a visit to the Museum of Natural History, I returned to The White House to photograph it at night.
The Suburbs of north-eastern Virginia has little to offer in terms of typical tourist activities, but I don’t consider travelling to be all about such activities. Visiting such places obviously plays a big part but visiting the less obvious places and meeting people from many different walks of life are just as important a part of the experience. While staying with my friends in El Dorado Hills, CA I met Wendy who was visiting from Virginia. We got on well and she invited me to go and stay with her. During this time I enjoyed spending time with Wendy, her son Kyle, friend Laurie, and Laurie's friends too. Thank you to you all for making it what it was...
