We took a trip to Guanzhou for New Years to visit some of our friends who are teaching there. This is one of the biggest cities in China, even though most people have never even heard of it. One of the teachers from our school decided to invite herself and her 5 yr old daughter along on our vacation- she is kind of annoying and always talks an inch away from your face, also her daughter liked to abuse my dog so I was not to excited. We ended up ditching her which i felt bad about but she got over it. We also got yelled at from our school because Adam left during a weekend when he "should have played in the school basketball game." For some reason basketball is MUCH more important then teaching to them (they never really forgave us for this). We had a great time in this city, and were very thankful to get out of Xintian to celebrate. On New Years we went to some bars around town and had a pretty crazy night..it took the entire weekend for us to recover. We also did some shopping, went to some good restaurants, got our nails done (even all the boys), and partied more. We're planning to go back in a month or so, maybe get some sightseeing in this time! I heard they have the biggest waterfall in China which i would like to see.
