That we heard from the older and grand dad and mom,But we believed that is once happened.As for me all the time talking about our lovely town story to the kids who very love to listen like a story.
Here we are,
The Monywa is changed from the (Mont- the-ma-ywa)that is say miss pancake's village,
when the last"' koung baung dynasty ""the king who is face the first Anglo-Burma war in 1824.Before that time he send the one who is really clever and quite good prince to the region of Monywa.Then He arrived one of the place was make him to see around.Then he went up and looked around then he met one of the lady who fried the pancake.So the prince go there and asked what specially interest place here and around?
The pancake lady said...,that depends on your interest.So that is hit to the prince heart to get warm,he think she is really clever ,OK finally they had good time and marriage and settle there,
The king heard about that news then king allowed the prince can stay and ruin there.so that is the original story of the town of Monywa,
So you have the chance to go there you will get meet most beautiful girl in there and they also clever .
MONYWA
(The Gate Way To Chindwin river)
Monywa is situate on the eastern bank of the Chin Dwin river,about 136 km to the west of the Mandalay.Founded during the Bagan period,it was given the name""Monywa"" in 1888,known as gate way to Chindwin,it is a commercial center of Chindwin valley.
Places worth visiting around Monywa are Pho win hill( the cave well known for his mural painting,
Than bod dhay temple,
Leid monastery and inscription hall,
Kyauk ka village as liqueur ware village,and Shwe gu ni pagoda (Fulfill wish for one),
PHO WIN HILL...,
It lies in the west bank of the Chin dwin river,and go west to 22 km,Legend say there are many Magician live and do their magical work.Wood sculptures and frescoes of exquisite during 17 century.
THAN BODDHAY TEMPLE(HALF MILLION LORD BUDDHA IMAGES PAGODA)
It lies to the south_east of MONYWA,It is unique temple in which-582357- images are there enshrined.Constructed by Monyin sayadaw in 1939.It is famous all over the country for it's magnificent architecture.Some say like Borobudur in Indonesia.
LEDI inscriptions,
Built in 1924,ledi that hall lies in the north-eastern part of Monywa,Monastery founded in 1886 by Ledi sayadaw,an erudite scholar in Myanmar literature and scriptures.We can find in the hall 806 upright stone slabs on which scriptures are inscribed in Myanmar and Pali.
SHWE GU NI pagoda,
It's lies in Kyauk ka village,9 miles to the east of MONYWA,founded in14 century,it was called ""SHWE GU NI'' in 1638.it is height 63 meter,
It is believed that's one prayer can be fulfilled at this pagoda.We like to invite you to come and say your prayer at this famous pagoda.
Near by you can drop in the lacquer village that well known for his rough wear,and look around of the nature of the villagers,life,living.
Cemetery of Bronze age..,(Nyaung Kan Village)
There 26 miles away from Monywa North,There you can see corpses and skeletons and there are bronze age things,
Twin taung( extincted volcano),
There very old lake in the volcano,and there we get fresh green weed from water and that gave us get strong and well vitamin,and we export many country,There in this world just 3 places one in Mexico and one is in Africa,and here Burma.
Shwe taung Oo hill,
There now so famous cause of one of the greatest monk who named Ledi sayadaw stay 2 year and get enlighten and he is the first one who translated Buddha texts to ready easy to all,Now the west very interested him,Monk and there one of the cave is famous among meditators.Now you can go across by new bridge,from there to the west canes in Po win hill,
Thar ze village,
There 14 Miles(21Km) north east of Monywa and there you can see ancient work craft of glass mosaic and wooden art,and near around of village you can go and see in side of village and get experiences,
