August 14

Exhausted!!!!  We are completely exhausted.  We cancell our plans to drive to Liverpool. Chester and North Wales to see some More castles.

We sit in Auntie Margarets home Thursday and drink tea and watch TV.  We take turns having naps.

We can't believe how tired we are.

Even the kids.

We do some laundry and pick up some groceries.
We are very thankful to Auntie Margaret for giving us her house while we are here.

We throughly enjoy her space, three bedrooms and a bathroom up, a great kitchen living room and dining room down.

Outside she has a beautiful little garden with all kinds of flowers in bloom.

Perfect.

Friday August 15th

Mom and Dad are staying with Auntie Christine (my Dads cousin from his mom"s side) in Bolton about 40 min drive away.

We are awaiting the arrival of Ali and Cam and the boys today.

Auntie Margaret (My moms late brothers wife)  has been away on holiday this week, she is returning home today around lunchtime and is then planning on moving in with my cousin Sue.  We then have the whole house to ourselves...we are completely spoiled.

Auntie Marget arrives with Jack (My cousin Stu's eldest son)  This is the first time I have met him he is 13.   The kids almost imediatley get on well together.  I am amazed at how comfortable my kids have been with family they have only seen in photo updates throughout their whole lives.

Jack takes the boys over to the park to kick a soccer ball.  This is the first break from us Cass and Brady have had since we left Canada.  Well other than when Brady hopped the train by himself! They completely enjoy themselves.

Auntie Margaret and Jack leave us at about 3, giving us a window of opportunity to go to the Stockport Market. It has changed a lot since I was last here, 18 years ago.  It is very strange really, I did have a good ability to find my way about when I stayed here for 3 months when I was 18., and it is almost dream like how some key elements don;t change and other things do. I find myself surprised that I don't know where I am , yet I do know where, the car park leads too and where certain shops are in the precinct, yet some of them have changed. I know my way around, but the surroundings have changed.

My parents must feel like this often when they return, the building are the same but the buisnesses are completely different.  Or the streets are the same, but the buildings are different.

We have a great look aorund the shops, unfortunatly the market is closing up but it doesn't stop us from looking.  We find Becky a pair of shoes in one of the shops and Mom and I buy some dressy things.  I decided not to wear what I had brought to wear to the wedding because it looks a bit silly with the only shoes that will fit over my air cast (my crocs), and I don;t think I can get away with wearing my crocs.

We enjoy a fish and chip supper with Mom and Dad before they take off for Bolton.

Another wonderfully relaxed day.

Ali and Cam arrived early evening having spent the day drivng and sitting on the motorway. They are exhuasted, and two days behind us in relaxing.  It is their 16th Wedding Aniversary.
