Beautiful sunday morning in Atlanta. 20-25 degrees Celsius, blue skies - and an otherwise relaxing weekend. So we decided to try out our recently purchased biking clothes, helmets, sunglasses. Nandita also got the chance to break in her fairly recently purchased bike and I was able to ride along thanks to Anthony (thanks for letting us borrow the bike...).

So, here we are pre-departure:

The Silver Comet Trail, probably the best possible infrastructure to bike on, was our destination. As the thing goes over 100 miles all the way into Alabama we had a feeling we weren't going to achieve the whole thing. As we didn't want to be gone for 10 hours, we decided to ride out to milemarker 9.4 and then return - solid first training day's effort. And that does not include our initial 1.6 miles going the wrong way on the trail....

Finally, as we are checking out the functionality of this site - here are a couple of on-the-road pictures. As you can see, no scrapes, broken bones or other injuries....

Stay tuned for next week - we are targetting mile marker 12 on saturday.....

UPDATE: Here's a picture of the 9.4 mile marker. We forgot to take a picture of it during our first ride, but Oliver reminded me when we went biking on Saturday 4/28. I'm sure this really adds to your enjoyment! :)
