A 949 miles drive started our trip down to Nicaragua on a good note.  We left the house a little after 6am, got off to a slow start but got rolling good after breakfast in Smithfield, NC.  A benefit was the hour we gained when we hit Alabama and gained an hour.  The image of the day was when we game up on a restaurant named turkey world.  It was basically the only photo we took during the day and then again when we crossed of the Mississippi River as it was turning dark.
