Well we've set off on the first bit of the trip.  We had a decent trip down to Brighton on the Megas Bus.  A bit disappointed with the lack of facilities at the coach stop as there wasn't anywhere to leave our bags whilst we had a wander around London for the two hours we had to wait for the next bus, but it was ok, we did some people watching instead (there are some right characters in London).  The bus wasn't over full so we managed to get a double seat each to get a little more comfy on.

It was really fab to see Cathe & Kelvin again and they have confirmed that the reason they're taking us to the airport is that they've had several donations to ensure that we actually leave the country!

Kelvin took Rob fishing and they caught some Mackrel which we had for dinner.  They were fab, really tasty. Cathe helped me to re-pack my rucksack so that I actually had some space left (I think she's hoping this will then get filled with pressies for her!) and I have started with a cold (excellent timing!) so dosing up on Beechams.

It's 25 past mid-night, Rob's in the shower.  We'll go to bed for a couple hours and get up at 3am, we're aiming to leave at 3.45am.  We have to check in by 6am. I'm looking forward to getting some sleep!

I think we're just about ready to go...see you all in Houston.

PS. Nettie - I've got my project aware book in my hand luggage so I can study on the plane (swot, swot)
