Today we split into 2 groups again. Hel, Ed & myself hopped on the Subway bound for Wall Street to do a "Financial Crisis" tour. It was a walking tour around the financial precinct with emphasis on the cause & effects of the recent financial melt-down together with some interesting info. We had 2 tour guides and we left 2 hours later with a lot more knowledge about the history of the area, and some interesting insight as to some of the events that occurred. The whole area was a lot smaller than we imagined and Wall St itself was only a small street all blocked off now to cars & tight security since Sept 11.

We met up with Hel & Mel and the kids at Central Park, where the kids were enjoying the great rocks that could be climbed on and the vast spaces in this amazing area so close to the hustle & bustle of it all. We also rode a horse pulled carriage through the Park with the best part being the big fluffy blanket that we was able to warm us up a bit, as today was around 10C, by far our coolest day on hols. Hel & Mel also visited Strawberry Fields (the John Lennon memorial) and Columbus Circle.

Another star spotting occasion occurred when we saw a crowd of people hovering in front of a hotel opposite the Park. As we moved closer for a squiz, out came Celine Dion with entourage and hopped into a limo.

Boys then went shopping for sports stuff whilst the Hel & girls went to Bloomingdales for a look (it's too expensive to buy anything there). Dinner was had at a great Thai Restaurant in the precinct known as Hell's Kitchen.
Forecast for tomorrow is even colder & rainy. Lets hope they are like the Melbourne forecasters most of the time ..... wrong !
