We broke camp and after a minor navigational error, headed east toward PEI. On the way we stopped in downtown Fredericton for their Saturday farmer's market. Bob found us a great parking spot downtown at a park that had free wifi! We walked a few blocks to the market and since we had the dog with us we couldn't both go in. While Bob waited just outside, I went in and looked around. It was a pretty small market but still interesting. I bought Bob a lobster roll (hot dog style bread with chunks of lobster in it), a lemon loaf, a couple of pretzels and a pork tenderloin.

The Confederation Bridge to PEI is 13 Kms long. It is a two lane bridge and its very windy. I can imagine that in the winter it gets pretty treacherous! They don't charge the toll until you leave the island. Kind of a twisted ploy to get you here and keep you here?

We had met a fellow in Woolastook park that told us about a provincial park in PEI (Linkletter) so we headed there and got a spot right on the ocean. It isn't the wild ocean since it is the sheltered Northumberland Strait but its quite a few through the front windshield of the motor home. The campground is not very crowded as I guess it is still early in the season. When we got here the tide was out so Nibsy and I went for a walk all the way down to the water. He loves to be in large open spaces where he can tear around in circles with his ears flapping! There was a guy out in the water doing some sort of seafood harvesting. He was wading and was pulling a floating sled behind him. Periodically he would crouch down and then put something in the sled. I never did figure out what!
