After our long night of mojitos and funny faced pictures, we finally made it out to the Strip around noon today.  The sun seemed a little brighter and the sounds were a little louder, but I know that had nothing to do with the alcohol imbibed the previous evening . . .
We walked over to the MGM Grand in search of some food, and made our way to the Grand Buffet.  It was quite the spread - salads, pasta, chinese food, meats, cheeses - however the dessert bar was the best.  There were numerous "mini" versions of desserts; key lime pie, pumpkin pie, creme brulee.  Claudia sampled the chocolate cake and it was definitely a hit!  After a few minutes to digest the insane amount of food my stomach took in, we walked over to the lion cage and watched the handlers work with the big cats.  It was quite a sight, and the lions were very well-behaved; a man being chomped on by a lion would not have done wonders for digestion . . .    Once we had had our fill of the lions, we decided to walk up the Strip.  After avoiding the card "flick"ers, we went to the Shops at Caesar's Palace and walked around.  Note:  we didn't go in to any stores (other than the Nike store) as we couldn't afford anything.  Somewhat high-end.  By this time it was getting a little dark (5 p.m.) and we walked over to the Bellagio and caught another fountain show.  From there we continued back down the Strip towards the Luxor, and amazingly enough we found ourselves sipping on mojitos again.  We hung out there for awhile, then decided to go out to Coyote Ugly.  Claudia had mentioned going there early in the trip, and we knew it would be a fun time.  Thankfully it was only two casinos away at the New York, New York.  If you have seen the movie about Coyote Ugly you know the story, but basically it a bar where hot female bartenders dance on the stage/countertops and encourage other women to get up and dance as well.  I didn't put up much of an argument - off we went!  We stopped and grabbed some quick food, then headed in to the bar.
The rest of the night was simply rock music, women dancing on bars, and lots of Corona's.  However the memory that sticks out is that we met this one guy from Canada, and his buddies all went to bed early.  He wanted to go out and have a good time - he certainly had already HAD a good time by the sounds - and he had a two and a half foot tall frozen daiquiri that he was holding.  It didn't look like he had put much of a dent in the drink, but he was having a great time.  He started dancing with the daiquiri (yes, that big - see picture) and it was one of the more amusing points of the trip.
We stayed there for a long time, and by 3:30 a.m. we decided that it was time to go!

On an ending note - Saturday we got up and went to the buffet at the Luxor, having both breakfast and lunch in one sitting.  We checked out and walked around some more, just getting a last little bit of sightseeing in before we had to leave for the airport.  It was an excellent trip and tons of fun (why go to Vegas if you do not want to have fun?) and sadly it had to end.  Thankfully between my memories and this website I will always be able to remember the great moments!  Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed my trip as well!
