After packing up all of the stuff we think we can't live without in the Pacifica, we headed west to our first stop - Moody, Alabama, to visit my very best girl friend Natalie and her husband Kyle. After dealing with all the spring breaker traffic, we arrived at their house on Friday night to enjoy wonderful conversation over wine and kabobs. On Saturday afternoon, we ventured to a cute greek restaurant called Zoe's, and saw the Hunger Games - which was awesome! That night we met several of Natalie's friends out for dinner at Fuego Cantina for some good mexican food and weak margaritas to celebrate Natalie's birthday :) after dinner we went out to a bar in Birmingham called Tin Roof. Since UAB is downtown, this bar was full of college kids and brought back memories of my college days in Athens, and made me feel really old when I felt like it was too crowded, oh well. The weather was so beautiful on Sunday, we decided to pack a picnic and go to Oak Mountain State park. We rented a paddle boat and Gabe and Kyle took us out on the lake to enjoy the water and scenery. After the boat, we attempted to hike up to the "elusive" waterfall but the trail map was not clear, so we ended up hiking 2 miles, and were able to take some really great pictures.  We ended the night with cooking my famous lasagna, parmesan roasted green beans, french bread and a couple bottles of Cabernet. One of the best weekends I have spent with Natalie and can't thank her and Kyle enough for their wonderful hospitality!

Now we're off to Florida!
