Monday was a very long travel day. We decided to travel from Pecs all the way to the Istrian coast in Croatia.
Since Pecs was not really on the way to the northern coast of Croatia we had to take one train to Geykenes and wait for three hours to catch the train from Budapest to Zagreb. Geykenes was not a very big town and we had three long hours waiting with our property for the next train. Once our train arrived in Zagreb, we walked to the bus station and then got on a four-hour bus to Pula.
It was late Monday evening when we arrived in Pula and the hotel we had booked looked much nicer from the outside than the inside. We were starving by the time we went for dinner and the food seemed to take much longer than we anticipated.
On Tuesday morning it was absolutely pouring rain. We weren't sure if the weather was going to improve so we decided to go and see the massive first century amphitheatre and explore the city. The amphitheatre was great but it would have been much better if it was dry.
We had lunch and then left the boys at the bar and went to do some shopping. A few hours later when we returned from shopping, Kenzie and I found that the boys had consumed a few too many beers. Needless to say there were lots of laughs in the afternoon and evening.
