For the Easter break (Thursday to Monday in Norway) I took a trip to Barcelona. It worked out very well since my parents were also in Barcelona at the same time. I had checked the weather forecast before I left and the temperature range was 10 - 19 degrees C. And, since I was going to Spain I presumed it would be on the warm side. Wrong! Barcelona was cold and rainy and all the warm-weather clothes I brought weren't of much use to me!

On the first day, I did a bike tour in Barcelona...not so great since it was cold, pouring rain and lots of the sights are quite far apart. The next day I took a day trip to the Torres winery and the Montserrat monastery. On Saturday I tried to do some shopping but shopping is tough when you have no idea what the different stores are like. And, on Sunday I went to Gaudi's Casa Bastllo before going to the airport.

It was a nice long weekend trip and it was great to see my parents and enjoy good food and wine!
