What I did
made some distance
After going over mileage estimates this morn, i realized that my route was quite a ways to go from jackson, wy to moscow, id. It seemed like a wise move to take 2 days to commute instead if doing it in 1, well that was that, farewell tetons. Route 26 led me into the gem state where a quick stop was made at palisades reservoir, the water was a bit chilly for a swim but there was all kinds of driftwood bobbing along shore. I collected a few pieces with the intentions of staining and hopefully selling them, another one of my ploys to make a quick buck. At idaho falls rte 26 put me on rte 15, then rte 86 in pocatello, east of rupert 86 merged into 84 and i left the interstate system in boise onto rte 55. Fitty five begins following the mighty payette river near horseshoe bend, id. My resting place for the evening was a slow vehicle turnout with the noisy payette in the background.
