We are in exciting Mexico city. Actually outside in a pictureque town called Tepotzotlan. We did a city tour today & went to the wonderful Museum of Anthropology. It was a great museum . We didn't do the whole tour of the city,as there were protests in the country about fuel prices and Mexico's state owned PEMEX fuel. Yesterday we went to the pyramids of Teotihuuacan. The pyramids were built in the 1500's. It is the 3rd largest pyramid in the world. The 2nd is the Great pyramid @ Giza. We climbed the 243 stairs to the top of the pyramid of the sun( so did the 83 year old couple with us on the trip). February 21 we went to Taxco- the silver capital of Mexico. It was a cute town nestled in the mountains ( elevation 5000 ft) with lots of silver. It looked like a village in Italy. Tomorrow another busy day in Mexico City . We are at elevation about 6000 feet here and the nights have been down in the 40's.
