Veracruz, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico

We did like staying in one place for 2 nights. We do really like Veracruz. The people look different from the rest of Mexico (there are some fair skinned, red-headed people here, desended from Europeans). We went to breakfast in the city, and then walked around the town square and church. We bought cream for all of Robert's bugbites (chiggers) at the Farmacia downtown. We then went to San Juan de Ulua. A fort built by the Spaniards in the 1600's out of "coral". It was most recently used as a prison. It was used as the "fort" in the filming of "Romancing the Stone". We went out for a nice seafood/steak dinner down by the beach, and now to bed.
