Its a college town, we gon' party!

I meet up with my new Austin Friend Laura and hung out with a couple of her friends....this is where i experienced my first "Shotgun".

Steps to a shotgun:
1. Pierce a hole in the bottom of the can, using a key or a sharp utensil.
2. Minimise leaking of any beer
3. Open the the can and CHUG!!!!

To see how its done:

My first shotgun experience:

Shotgunning isnt too hard, but you instantly feel full, so any consecutive shotguns would be tough!

The pregaming begins before heading downtown. Drinks by the pool, themed house parties whatever goes. Ive done a mexican with the lovely sisters Rocio and Maria and a T-shirt themed party so far held by the Amazing Brook :)

Next Austin experience...6th street. This street is pretty much dedicated to pubs, bars and clubs. 6th street spreads over about 4 blocks and on Thurs, Fri and Sat night the street is blocked off to traffic and the street is packed with college kids and party peeps.

Going out in Austin is a little different to back home. Instead of meeting up at 7-8pm for drinks and hitting the bar/club around 9-10pm and partying until 5am, Austinites will pre-game (pre-drink) around 10pm and head out about 12am, which doesnt seem too bad until you find out that all the bars close at 2am. Doesnt leave too much time to party, but suprisingly that 2 hours of being at a bar seems sufficient.
