Up and Breakfast at Macas AGAIN,  cool here again this morning, out of the room and checked out 10.30am and in the car, found our way to the Factory Outlet Mall at the end of the strip 11am,  Las Vegas is so cool you can do anything you desire here wether its Shows, Shopping, you can swim all day if you want and not get bored, party all day and night if you want, get a massage and your hair done, gamble of course, take a helicopter fight, see the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dams, anything you want to do its all at your finger tips.  Spent a couple of hours at the mall only covered about 10 shops out of 200 LOL and got some clothes shoes etc, Skechers $30 a pair, Levis $12 a pair and all the other big brands and some we had never heard of.  Set off for Los Angeles after gassing up at 2pm, travelled 80 odd miles an hour on the State Highway for 2 hours to Barstow and had Lunch 4pm at Dennys on Historic Route 66, Briar and I very sad to be leaving !!!  Journeyed on into the brilliant sun set (seemed quite fitting the sun setting on the end of a trip of a lifetime), into LA on the freeway in the dark and into the thick of it, found LAX 7pm the GPS has been invaluable, got to the Hertz Rental Car Depot (huge operation they had 2300 vehicles coming in today) !!! The man that met us took us to the airport in our car and saved us having to transfer all our luggage onto the shuttle etc, the damage report was straight forward and left that with them, all okay, luckily we had all the insurance and it wasnt our fault to boot.  Into the airport 7.30pm and had to wait around for an hour at check in (this was another story in its self LOL) only 2 people on check ins and travellers mucking around with overweight baggage, one lot had a small wee girl and it looked like mum had half the house with them 2 car seats one highchair and huge stroller LOL.  Up to security and shoes off etc for the scanners, kids had to take all electronics cameras etc out of bags and in the trays, got through there and found the gate, by this time they were calling our names and we hadnt been mucking around (thought we WERE going to have an hour or so to fill in) onto the plane at 9pm and sat and sat waiting .....  plane wasnt supposed to leave till 10pm anyway,  ferried out and took off, 13 hour flight which Briar and I slept about 6 hours of, the boys didnt fare to well, luckily they have such good inflight entertainment and we got dinner and breakfast.  Landed at 6am Saturday 29th LOL (left there Thursday) bought Duty Free and collected bags, rang the Car Storage and 10 mins later they arrived, off to the depot and on the road home at 8am, home at 10.30am.  A SUPER holiday and kids were great, we did have our moments but so did Don and I the worst thing was the weight (I put on 3.7kg) LOL, there was so much more we didnt see but good to save something for next time LOL.
