Up and had breakfast, Called in at the Home Depot on the way out 10am, everything pretty much half our price, dont know what the hourly rate for builders here is though, got away from there 11am and travelled on the State Highway towards The Arches National Park, good way to really make some ground travelling at 80 miles an hour, the normal roads are around 55 - 60 miles an hour. Stopped at Green River to have a peek in the Museum, more about the early explorers tied up with the rivers and Grand Canyon. Got to the Arches around 3pm and called into the visitors centre, bought Briar a patch to sew on her blanket, collected some info maps etc and headed off, drove up the canyon and stopped off at all the points of interest, amazing formations and arches, made a short walk at the end to one of the Arches as we were a bit short on time, but covered everything. Made our way down to Moab around 6pm and checked into another Best Western in the Main Street of Moab, nice hotel and I sorted our washing and our bags out as everything had become really messy. 7pm we wandered the Main Street ( I liked this town and it reminded me of Queenstown, a base for the adventurous sorts ) found the Slickrock Cafe and ordered some food, Don went back to the hotel to find some Disprins ANOTHER headache I think hes had more in the last 4 weeks than the whole time I have known him. He arrived back after our meals were served and we demolished them, walked back to the hotel and he was in bed by 8.30pm and slept right through till 8pm the next morning, kids quietly watched TV and I tried to sort some blog. Bed by 9.30pm.
