Where I stayed
Unlike anything I have seen before, I have herd about old Spanish colonial style streets and read about them, but seeing it for the first time blew my mind.
Exquisite, was the word. Itīs astonishing to think the city was created in the mid 1500 during the Portuguese inquisition. So much history lay on these old eroding cobble stones.
Walking around at night, I find it impossible not to absorb the colourful passion in the atmosphere. A classic Spanish guitar was serenading my subconscious while I stood on the upper level of Para De Se, looking down in what seemed to be an 80m vertical drop to the lower level of the city, an intriguing architectural design.
When I see things like this, It reminds me why I travel. Its like being a kid again, walking around with my eyes wide open, trying to assimilate everything.
