Woke up feeling awesome! Got my shit together and headed out to the Groeninge Museum. No Simpsons here, but lots of Flemish art from the 15th century on. The first couple of rooms had stunning works by Flemish primitive painters. Lots of judgment day depictions. One beautiful painting was of a man being skinned. I loved this museum.

Spent the rest of the morning and early afternoon running around checkin out all the cathedrals and basilicas. Then, grabbed a sandwich and climbed the belfry in the Markt. Not the easiest 366 steps I've taken - I have blisters on top of blisters on the bottoms of my feet, but hey I'm a warrior and the view was worth it!

Next I grabbed a Brie sandwich and found a boat that takes you on a tour through the canals. It was pretty cheap and I'll admit it was a "must do". Great way to see the place and learn a bit of history not to mention rest your feet.

Wandered around for a while sneaking into little quiet passages and down winding streets. Visited some chocolate shops, ate a waffle, and took a walk through the open market. Lots of neat euro antiques and odds and ends.

Grabbed some quick food and hit the hostel. Met a traveler from Vancouver named Elaine. We hit the town, had a drink, and called it a night.

On to Amsterdam!
