Today we went to the Saturday Market downtown. Loved looking at all the crafts and stuff for sale. They had henna tattoos, so ALL four of us got one! It was fun.

Had lunch at a place called Mother's. It was a great place, loved the decor, great food.

We had asked at the henna booth where there was a good place to get piercings, so they hooked us up with a place called Black Hole. We went over so I could get my belly button pierced and dd could get her ears pierced again. The family that pierces together, stays together--ha ha. Also, at this place they would only do her ears with a needle, not that gun that others use...because they feel a needle provides a better, cleaner hole.

Unfortunately, in Oregon, you have to have a child's birth certificate in order to get anything pierced. We did not have her birth certificate with us on the trip, so she had to wait until we got home.

So I went upstairs into a spotlessly clean and sterile room, where I was skewered by a guy named Brian. I was quite surprised at how much skin that needle went through! And man it hurt like heck the whole day. But, I've got belly bling now. ;)

Went over to the Rose Garden. Found a nice, little quiet park for the kids to play.

Ate at a great place called the Bridgeport Brewpub and Bakery for dinner (in the Pearl District). They were really busy, but we were able to find a table in the bar area. Had some great nosh food.
