Today is Thanksgiving...Happy Thanksgiving to all! While I am very grateful that I am with my husband and children, spending time with them exploring the world, I must admit, it is difficult to be away from our traditions this day. Here, in France, it is like any other day.

Yesterday at breakfast, we spoke with a Belgian man that we got to know over the last few breakfasts, and he told us that he once got invited to a family's Thanksgiving dinner while visiting the States. He clearly enjoyed it and seemed to trully understand the long history and traditions behind the holiday--the aspects that make it special. For us Americans, do we have any traditions that grow deeper than Thanksgiving?
