Where I stayed
Today we went into La Cite and toured the "castle" and walked all around the walls. We walked around the medieval town and went into some of the stores that were open. I bought an initial-embroidered cover for little tissue packs--so cute.
We had a fantastic meal at a little restaurant. I had cassoulet with goose wings; it was sooooo comforting and warm. It was my first taste of cassoulet, and it couldn't have tasted better. DH had goat cheese salad, DS had an incredible three-cheese pizza, and DD had fish soup. Everyone enjoyed the meal immensely.
Afterwards, we drove to Montreal, Mirepoix and Fanjeaux. Mirepoix is a very cool town, very Henry VIII-looking. We stopped into a cafe for some coffee and hot chocolate to warm up.
