My daughter and I drove to Bloomington to attend a UKC dog show held at the Orange Empire Dog Club clubhouse. We didn't get there until the very end of the show, so we only saw Best in Show and Best Puppy. But it was fun anyway.
The breeder that sold me my puppy the day before was there, and she showed us around and was so happy to see Pasha. Pasha was happy to see her too, because she was NOT used to her new surroundings at our house. Pasha was also quite happy to see the rest of her pack that was there, including her dad. Her sister was there too, and she won Best Puppy.
After hanging out for awhile, DD and I attended a seminar about AHTs (American Hairless Terriers); Pasha is an AHT. I am allergic to dogs, but because AHTs have no hair, I can tolerate them allergy-wise, not to mention that they are fantastic dogs. The seminar was given by Terri Murphy, a pioneer with this new and rare breed.
As part of the seminar, we had dinner there too. It was a lot of fun meeting everyone. It's really a great community of people...one I didn't think I would ever get to be a part of.
