This morning we got an email with a quote for the demolition and excavation. It gives us hope that someday we may actually be able to call our French house a home.

Still working on the loan. That is, by far, the most frustrating thing right now. It's not our credit (thank God), it's just the difficulty with the French banks right now--new regulations=new headaches.

We may have to change some of our plans just to get the French banks (ok, *A* French bank) to work with us. But if that's what we have to do, that's what we'll do.
