I got up at 8:30 thinking I'd head right over to the "flea market" that DH had told me about. I was disappointed when I arrived at the Hotel de Ville and saw absolutely nothing. I walked down a side street, then thought I'd try the other way. I eventually ended up in the center square by the cathedral where there were a few farmers selling fruits and vegetables, but no brocante.

I went to Hotel L'Univers for breakfast. I remembered it being pretty decent from when DH and I had eaten there. I'm afraid that was a bit disappointing as well. The flies were quite annoying. I thought the lady behind me might leave she was so frustrated by them. I didn't see the cat that hangs out there. Thankfully, I saw the server go out and buy a fresh petite baguette for me and the other lady, because the other bread in the basket was totally stale. I drank my tea and orange juice, and ate my bits of baguette with butter all the while shooing flies away. I was happy to be on my way.

I went by the Tourism Office across the bridge and picked up some brochures. Today and tomorrow there is a special heritage tour through the bastide. I would have loved it, but I'm afraid with it all in French, I would have been too frustrated to have the patience to do it anyway.

I walked around and even went into a clothing store and tried on a couple of things. Cute clothes, good prices, didn't fit. I made my way back to the hotel to check email. There I got a couple of emails from DH that the kids aren't doing well with homeschool. That has been the biggest disappointment of the day.

Mine and DH's trips here to France have been at a bad time. The kids have just started homeschooling, and there is a lot to adjust to. I know they are still adjusting. Unfortunately, I can't do anything to help from here.

I went out and walked around a little more, then stopped for lunch at Le Glacier. I had a really good country omelette with potatoes, mushrooms and onions. Probably the best part of my day today was that they had iced tea: the best I've had so far. After I ate I went to the Marche Plus to get a 1.5 liter bottle of lite ice tea, a sandwich and some snack cookies. I just don't feel like going out for dinner tonight.

I am planning on a better mood tomorrow. I think it will be better on Monday also, when things start moving forward again.
