Had a hectic morning finalizing the last minute details. Called the pet boarding place to check on Pasha. She seemed to be doing ok. I hated leaving her behind with strangers. I went and picked up the kids at the two school campuses and checked them out, then rushed home so they could get out of their uniforms and into their travel clothes.

We scarfed down a quick bite to eat, and the shuttle arrived right on time. We had no traffic issues, so getting to the Ontario Airport was a breeze. Even check in went smoothly with no one in line. The American Airlines lady at the counter was super nice, and they had changed the check in procedure there, so you don't have to take your bags to the X-ray area anymore. The process was much improved since the last time we flew out of there.

Going up to security was also quick and painless. Again, no line. Everyone was all smiles and "Happy Holidays." We walked down to our gate and waited. We got drinks at the Coffee Bean, looked in the little store. The whole place was pretty much empty and it was in the middle of the day.

The counter lady said American Airlines only has four flights out of there now. And that it's the most expensive airport to fly out of per person (in the area) so no airlines want to use that airport. We wonder if the airport will stay open. They do use the old terminal for film making. Maybe they'll just make it into a film studio.

The S80 plane was simple and boring. Zero entertainment. I admit to needing to be entertained on planes. We did have fun seeing our house as we flew over. Other than that there wasn't much to do. But the flight was not bad. Smooth landing. Safe arrival. What more could you ask for?
