We had another good breakfast at the hotel. The older lady, Elisabeth, who runs the breakfast room (and whom we had previously been a little frightened of) greeted us warmly as we sat down. She gave us two loaves of stollen to take with us. After we ate, she gave us big hugs and wished us a Merry Christmas.

The owner of the apartment couldn't pick us up like he had said, so we had reception call us a taxi. When we got to the apartment, his wife was there to greet us and get us settled in. She was very nice. We gave her one of the loaves of stollen--we knew we couldn't eat two loaves.

We were hungry for lunch and very ready for a break. There was a café that was onsite, but I wasn't excpecting much from it. I thought maybe it was just a walkup counter or something. Boy, were we surprised when we walked in.

The Residenz was a gorgeous café/restaurant with tuxedoed waiters and chandeliers. DH and I shared a wienerschnitzel which was very yummy. We had cappuccinos and apfelstrudel which was also very yummy. We took our time and just enjoyed the ambience and warmth of the room.
