How am I going to wake up at 6 am tomorrow? Not sure, but I guess it'll be interesting. Got up and had soup for breakfast. I worked out the kinks of the world build kit so I think that's set and made up a packing list I sent back home. It's gorgeous skies out today.

About 10ish Sarah came and we decided to go out grocery shopping, mainly for crumble ingredients but I also got yeast so I have a few more baking options. I also picked up something for Nik, and for some reason more eggs. I guess I'm going to make a few more crepes, they really are hard to resist.

When we came back, I made up Nik's card and left it by his door and headed downstairs where we made up an apple crumble that's now in the fridge. It may not be how his mom makes it, but I'm hoping he'll like it. Everyone deserves to be a bit special on their birthday. We also tore down all the snowflakes in the kitchen, really out of season, and I did most of the washing up.

English chocolate even in Mars bars, is fantastic.

We came upstairs - Sarah is going to see her new niece today - and we sang Happy Birthday outside Nik's door. We realized he in fact isn't home - likely out to uni handing in his eassy - and felt we looked a bit foolish for it but he'll come home and we'll have crumble tonight at some point.

I came upstairs and finally wrote out the history while of course also watching House, going through tumblr, and making a list of things to do in Portsmouth. I have a long list of things to do and everyone keeps telling me 'why Portsmouth' so I better prove them wrong!

Waited a while for Sarah to come home so when she didn't, I asked Nik if he wanted dinner company, being his birthday and all. We were both eating strange combinations of curry and cheese when Sarah said she was coming home so I threw the crumble into the oven and we sat down to watch some TV. No 'Man vs Food' so instead we watched 'Come Dine with Me' and Sarah came down to join us. Nik got a beer, Sarah got some tonic and we enjoyed some TV until about when we threw 22 candles into the crumble, grabbed Hana and sang out birthday boy a very short. It was great hot and with some ice cream, a smaller group than normal but lovely all the same. We watched Don't Tell the Bride and NCIS before I came upstairs. I need to be up early tomorrow.

I have food for tomorrow mostly sorted, a to-do list, train ticket. I should be able to wadner Portsmouth, but if not I'll buy a map. I'll take a ton of pictures but I won't be home till about 9 in the evening. It's going to be quite the day. I'm glad I didn't try for this a different day, travel is usually pretty tiring. As it is, I am pretty tired so I"ll put everything together and sleep. That's the plan.

Lots of birthday apple love,
