I walked so much yesterday! I walked and walked. Then I walked. Today I went to the baths.  So did many others. There are dozens of mineral baths of varying temperatures, both inside and outside. I read, slept, bathed, relaxed all afternoon. Like I said before, lounging is key!

Under Budapest is a huge thermal pool that is accessed at several communal  baths around the city. The waters have been enjoyed since the Turks were here in the 16th and 17th centuries. Széchenyi is probably the most popular. They also offer massages, mud baths, and other body cleansing work for your health and relaxation! There are eighteen pools in and around this palatial building. One of the three pools outside is programmed with different water jets that shoot out of different parts of the pool at regular intervals. The Hungarian regulars have memorized the spurt sequence and moved from area to area to benefit from the different water massages.

I really needed a day of rest after this last week of walking every day until exhausted. Thank you, baths of Budapest!
