Greetings all.
Before I start I must wish a belated "happy birthday" to Bob. I hope you enjoyed your day & your beer. Also a belated happy birthday to Maresa & a current happy birthday wish to Maarit :). Have a great day. Whilst we're on the subject of birthdays- a big thanks to everyone for all your lovely birthday messages, cards, presents and comments/insults... I had a great day, though it was a bit of a wash out. In fact, the whole week has been a bit of a wash out! So much rain...
My quads have now (finally) recovered from the (silly) attempt at going up Mt.Eden crater from the steepest point. So, today I thought the weather looked good & set off for a jog up to Mt.Eden. 15 mins into the run, just as was starting to go uphill the rain started. I returned afterwards looking like a drowned rat. Luckily for me Jimmy & Isobel had starting cooking a Sunday lunch of roast beef, potatoes & all the trimmings.... I was starving by then & ate it gladly. My job was to wash up (fair deal I recon)!
Not much else to write about really. I applied for 2 jobs: one in Auckland & one in Wellington. The Wellington job is looking more promising, but both involved police checks which means a bit of a wait (I hope there isn't another Kirsty Moore out here doing armed robberies). Another job in Auckland hospital (medical admin) I was just a tiny bit too late for & they had already appointed. They are keeping me on file for if a similar position comes up...
If I still don't have a job in a couple of weeks, we're going to start travelling. I'm desperate to explore further now. The Bay of Islands are not too far & the 90mile beach up North. Plenty more to see and do - just need to get some wheels & get organsied. I keep seeing a Mazda 323 around the city & it brings back happy memories! I so loved that car. By the way, dad - I hope you're looking after the GTI & not doing too many wheel spins to impress your colleagues!
Must get out of this cafe - I'm supposed to be playing cards...
Enjoy the sunshine.
Take it easy,
Kirst.xx
