I was up early and on time for my mumma to pick me up and take me out to the airport for the 10 o'clock plane outta 'The Centre of The Universe' (known mostly as Wagga Wagga to those who have not yet felt the gravitational pull of the Place of Many Crows).

Blessed with a cracker of a headache (OK read hangover) as my uncle had stayed on Friday night and in true form we had a bit of a session of wine, music & dancing. Let's just say that, in hindsight, flying with a hangover is definitely not a good thing to be doing and don't recommend it to anyone (the release of brain pressure on landing was enough to make my head explode) however drinking on the plane does not fall into this category coz the hangover hasn't set in yet.

At Wagga airport I ran into an old veterinary school mate - Timmy Quast and arranged to take the flight with him. Poor bugger! Pretty sure I chinwagged his ears off as I was as in the words of The Pointer Sisters 'I'm So Excited' about my big homecoming trip. The Wagga - Sydney flight was pretty uneventful (except for my hangover) and I arrived in Sydney wearing clothes suited for a cool Spring day only to be greeted to a warmish Sydney sun. Lucky for me I am a tough cookie and that was only just preparation for the hot-to-trot days I'd be experiencing for the next week.

Wow silly me, upon arrival in Sydney I realised via the detective work of my mother that I had booked my return flight to Wagga Wagga on Sunday, 3 October @ 3.30pm. Dumb move, like real dumb move on my part Miss Kirools as I am not really sure how I am gunna 'take that flight' considering I don't arrive back into the country until Monday, 4 October @ 9.00am. Not to worry I'll just ring Qantas and transfer the flight to same bat time on Monday. A weeks notice should be cool bananas and easy to arrange. Ummm well you know when you want to do these things you must take into account it being a long weekend Monday and also being the middle week of the school holidays. Yeah for Qantas wanting to make another $380 bucks on top of what I had already paid for the ticket. Meh I don't think so! I might buy an airline apparently there is easy money to be made from dumbos like me. OK return flight to Wagga Wagga changed to Tuesday, 5 October so feeling much more in control about all the travel plans. They did make another $90 bucks from me though. I tell ya easy money in the airline business.

All good in Sydney and my friends James & Michelle Sullivan pick me up from the airport and we go off to the Rockdale Rugby Union Presentation Day and then home for Michelle & I to have a catch up while James takes the boys to the live production of Ben 10. James said he loved it and would go again again and again (read sarcasm). They live in this amazing split level house that James has renovated. Sometimes I wish I was a builder so I could do shit like that. The most renovating I have done to the 'Vinyl Palace' was rip up the carpet in the hallway (which reminds me I must get around to polishing that) and remove the geraniums (blah grandma flowers).
