When we got back to Lauterbrunnen, we got in our van and drove over to nearby Trummelbach Falls. The interesting thing about Trummelbach Falls is that it's mostly within the cliff. We first went in the lift that took us to the top and then we had to take the stairs back down. But along the way there were amazing views of the water and where it carved it's way through the rock. Some points, the water was so powerful, you had to back away just to not get pelted with mist.
All in all, this place was amazing, and is one of my favorite places in Switzerland. I had gone farther ahead than everyone else, and had stopped at one lookout point to wait up. The lookout point happened to be next to one of the largest parts of the waterfall. With the mist spraying everywhere, and the fact that it was actually raining, I decided to crawl into a space underneath the concrete staircase. Sure enough I stayed dry.
When everyone else came down, they had to take pictures of the big part of the waterfall. Dad and I found a fence fencing off a certain area. The fence didn't look too friendly, with its giant spikes.
This lookout point wasn't too far from the bottom. On the way back down. I found a chain in the rock. I looped it around my wait and told Susannah I was Prometheus.
Because I knew exactly how Prometheus felt, minus the eagle coming to rip out his intestines.
Anyway, today was also Allison's birthday, so we had her birthday dinner at a restaurant by our condo. I was going to get something called "Rumpsteak" on the menu, but instead, I just got some rösti. This rösti had an egg on it too!
We then went back to the condo and had Allison's birthday cake from the Coop (which was more like a loaf of chocolate bread).
And that was the end of another satisfying day.
