We arrived in London late morning and checked into our hotel, waiting impatiently for Sheila's college friends to do the same. When we were all assembled we set off to find a bite to eat and then enjoyed a gentle stroll, interspersed with much chatting and laughter, around Westminster and along the Thames. It was a  sunny afternoon and everyone was out enjoying the surroundings.
Back to the hotel, a quck change and then on the tube to the West End. Crowds were certainly out enjoying the barmy summer evening . After a meal in a Spanish restaurant we hurried to the Prince Edward Theatre to see The Jersey Boys. A great show which we all enjoyed, especially as we had a trip down memory lane with the songs!! ( Ken reckons he is too young to remember any of them !!!!)
Next day our first stop was the Imperial War Museum with its impressive display of memorabilia and a very moving section on the holocaust. We then went back to Westminster and boarded a double decker bus for a tour of London. It was a lovely sunny afternoon so we sat on the top and enjoyed a great ride around the city viewing all the famous landmarks. This also gave the girls plenty of time to chat and catch up! We finished the day with a cruise on the Thames and dinner before saying adieu!

Hello
Dear Ken and Sheila,

Thanks for the London update. Just heard on the radio that Hewitt is out of Wimbledon. Such great photos - Emily and Zac now have some idea of what they are buying when we play Monopoly.

Keep having fun and enjoy the warm weather.

Love Brett, Raelene, Emily and Zac

Sheila and Ken:
Your travels and photos make ours from Darwin look really a C pass compared with your A+ones. - even if we did enjoy ourselves! Keep on keeping on.
