Where I stayed
beachhouse motel
We made our way up the coast on the old motorway and it was brilliant to see all the little towns and places that people can stop off and have a BBQ. All the facilities are clean and well looked after and importantly in working order....
We stooped off at a lovely place that had a huge billboard advertising Oysters. The venue, and food did not disappoint and we scoffed down a super meal and a glass of wine.
We arrived in Ulladulla and checking it out decided that we would rather find somewhere a little more quiet. We had not booked anywhere and were glad that we had not as a few km further north we found Mollymook, a quiet little surfer's beach with a long beach and a number of little Motels. We checked in, went across the road to the beachside café. Ordered some fish and chips from the local caveman owner who has less social graces than a farm animal. Ems popped over to the RSC (Returned Serviceman Club) who have a large club on the beachfront and who also have a bottle store inside. Interesting things these RSL as they are in every town, sell alcohol and have Poker machines (Pokies as they are fondly known)
After dins we took a long walk down the beach which stretched on for miles watching the sun go down. A wonderful dawn swim and we were ready to move on.
