We are getting ready as I write to head out to DC. This park is well situated only 10 miles from DC. Although I would love to bike in, with the kids we will opt for the metro. Getting here was a little bit of Hell as we got off track in DC metro at about Midnight on Sunday. Traffic was a crawl from Williamsburgh to DC. Then a crazy lady was scared that our bikes were going to fall off the rack so she took us of course and followed us for about 1/2 hour. Then she actually cut her car in front of us. Needless to say we were all more than a little concerned. We finally checked to make sure the bikes were Ok and got into MD park area at almost 3:00 A.M. ! Later that morning we check into the RV Park. It is expensive $50.00 + a night but the amenities are first rate. They include two pools hot tubs, good free Wifi and good clean showers. We will get the metro and the subway into the mall area and soak in the sites and a few museums. We will probably be here at least 2 more days. Tommorow is RV repair day. Hopefully by Thursday Morning everything will be up and running. The Museum of Natural history is huge. Kids spend time in the kid zone. They really enjoyed it. Tommorow we will do the Museum of American history and perhaps a few more exhibits.

Looks like a great trip so far. You need to come home and have a vacation from your vacation!!!!

Yes we are now taking a rest stop at Black Mountain. We hit the road again Saturday Morning. We have not decided where we go next.
