I've quickly adapted to the rhythm of Thailand which is completely different to that of Nepal where you wake up at 6am and are in bed by 9pm. On the Andaman coast in Ko Lanta where I've been hanging out the last 4 days- the wake up time is much closer to 9am and bedtime varies from 11pm-3:30 (late night beach dance party)  And instead of trekking for 7 hours, I am getting Thai massages for $10, touring the island via moped and napping in a hammock on the porch of my thatched bungalow in between banana/pineapple shakes. Life is good.

Karen and I are enjoying fresh fish at night (baracuda is a favorite), fried rice with eggs and veggies for lunch, and exchanging stories of her time in Cambodia and Laos and my adventures in Nepal.  I've learned so much about the history of Cambodia from her, which I knew nothing about. Something to think about - Before the Kmer Rouge reign 1975-1979 there were 8 million Cambodians. By 1979, that number was down to 4 million. And now, after much procreation 14 million. 60% of the population us 19 and under! Lots of more Cambodian info but I'll wait until I'm there to blog about it.
