I know the dates on this are funky, but there you go. Sophia and I left from school on June 26 and headed north. We did really well, except for a little glitch on the grapevine. There was a fire, and the road was down to 1 lane. Oh, did I mention it was 106 degrees outside? I was really worried about Sophia, she even stopped panting. Scott called at exactly the right time and talked me through it - he's the best! We made it safe and sound by Sunday afternoon and Sophia was soooo happy to be at Scott's. She thought it smelled like home and settled right in. I can't wait to get back and get settled in myself. I rented a house and it is all ready for me to move into. I'll send the address and phone when I get back and moved.
