It is not very often that I wake up in a room, the only woman, with 17 men - half of which half pasted out in their kilts! There are 12 beds in my room. I have one. The 11 others are occupied by Scotts of all sizes, shapes and ages, and 5 more on the floor. Yes, quite unbelievable really. I think I'm coming to this tiny quiet historical city, and instead, I was up all night trying to get some sleep, as they returned (in a very drunkin' Scottish way) at various times throughout the night. This is where the bad news from the hostel comes in. I have no place to stay tonight. And EVERY hostel, hotel, 5 star resort, B&B is sold out. I have no choice, but to leave town! So, I'm headed to Lake Bled tonight. I was considering this option anyway, it is supposed to be beautiful, but I didn't think I'd be forced out of town by over 4,000 Scotts while in Slovenia! Anyway, they were actually really cool guys. It was amusing on their part as well. Some of them came home so late, and in the dark, they didn't realize I was a part of thier room - so they were slightly embarassed when they woke up in their jockies and saw me. They tried to fight for space for me to stay, to no avail. I spent some time with them before heading out to see the city for the day. One of the nice lads gave me his Scottish hat - one his grandmother knit. Now, he was about 50 himself, so I asked if it was sentimental - he replied, nah. she wont croak. so as long as she makes it until thursday, I'll have her knit me another. And so, I have a nice warm Scottish hat. I'm off to Lake Bled.
