Stunning, breathtaking, gorgeous, peaceful and remote, the only way to describe the beaches on the other side of this little island. I took an hour ferry around the island, docked, and continued with a 1/2 hour hike up and over a mountain to find the most beautiful beach I have ever been on. 2 miles of snow white sand, turquoise water and a mountainous jungle background. There were no restaurants, hotels, or people for that matter - maybe 20 spread along the 2 mile stretch of beach. I was warned, on more than one occasion, that this island has caused a few people to stay behind - I now understand why. With days relaxing on the beach, and casual nights dancing with friends in beach bars, you can't go wrong. The seafood here is ridiculous, you can't help but be glutinous. Tomorrow we plan on renting a boat, cruising the island grilling, drinking and snorkeling in the local "blue"lagoons....rough existence.
