Okay, so here's the deal....I'm leaving in like 14 hours and should totally be packing.
But does my backpack have a damn thing in it? no. Do I even know which backpack I'm using? no.
I have shit spewed across three rooms of my house and TOTALLY don't feel like condensing it because I know it wont fit....
I leave tomorrow for a Business Spanish program in Lima, Peru. But, I'll be traveling one week by myself first (ahh, stepping off a plane in a foreign country with no one and nowhere to go...crazy)

My plane is to go to Cuzco first (which is basically the main touristy city in Peru, mainly because of Machu Pichu). Machu Pichu is famous ruins from the Incas. Unfortunetly, I don't have time to do this intense 4 day walk up to it, but hey, a one day visit should hopefully be exciting as well...
Then, it'll be on to Lake Titicaca (yes, I know that sounds like boobs and shit, deal with it...) It's supposed to be awesome. Not quite sure if I'll have time to stay with a family for a little while on islands in the lake, we'll see.... I might just look at it and head on...
Thirdly (and lastly on my little solo journey) is Arequipa. This is a city way in the South of Peru (meaning close to Chile). Last August I got SUPER close to it, but didn't have time to cross into Peru, so this is my second chance to see it...yay!
So...thats the plan just incase anyone is sitting around thinking "hmm, I wonder what Kim is up to now"

I hope I make it through this week safe and sound (and will all my stuff). I'm the most worried about this week (mainly about being robbed)....I figure if I make it through week one with no problems, I'm in the clear for the rest of the trip. (But, like my sister taught me, and like I always preach to my traveling friends...stuff ALWAYS goes wrong.) I need to know that I could miss a flight, a bus, lose my bag, get really sick (prob be most likely), and not freak out cause its happening while I'm alone...I'm kinda nervous about that part! keep your fingers crossed for me!

And on yeah, I just wanted you to all know that emails are welcome and appreciated (I know, but shocker...) I mainly use Kimberly.Davies@gmail.com...but my ucdavis one works too (just not as well in South America).
I will miss you all and I'll be back before you know it...hopefully with a little more Spanish skill, some amazing photos/stories, a few gifts, and a tummy full of Pisco sours (yay!).
I hope that you all having amazing summers and I can't wait to hear all about them when I get back!
But for now, I should really conquer this packing thing...
Chao!

Allie's first travel log comment to Kimmy
So I signed up for this travel pod thing just so I could write nonsense on your travel log.

I know, I know, I hard core stalk you. Good thing we are such good friends lol.

The pictures look great, but you still need to do something about the climbing down the rock picture, I think this topic has been discussed many times as we wander the halls of Theta on the way to your room, my room, or the bathroom lol.

Anyway, keep up the good work and study that spanish girl!! You rock hehehe =) Miss you lots!!

(And as before when I was writing to you on facebook, there is a short-tall boy who thinks he is ghetto standing behind me saying who are you talking to?? (when of course it is quite clear I am writing to someone not talking to someone but anyway)
So in the eloquent words of our dear, dear friend:
'Ooooooo u talkin' to Kim, sweeeeeet say sup girl to her from me.' So here you go 'Sup Kim' compliments of Dan the Man. Which after seeing this quickly adds 'u noe')

Well I have had enough of this lack of correct english (both spelling and verbal delieverence), so I must say goodbye until I can write to you again, without being bothered!!!

Theta and Ag floor luvin'
Allie
