I think that we had a good time in the Pantanal- well, I am sure that we did, it is just that when I describe it, it doesn`t sound like it would be all that much fun!
We got eaten alive by the thousands of mozzies that appear each evening, had showers with frogs and other various insects, waded through waist high swamp water with slimy things brushing against us, but it was great!
We also did some horseback riding through the swamp (so only had to get feet wet!), went fishing for piranhas (a few people caught some, but we fed them to a nearby caiman) and made some beaded jewellery with seeds (never going to get that through customs in melbourne!).
In the evenings we had a great time around a camp fire, with our lovely guides, Alex and Max, playing drums and singing for us.  Especially on the last night, when we held our long awaited jungle party, where we had to dress up as things from the jungle.  I think the photos speak for themselves, but everyone looked great!
